Since COVID-19 forced people to work from home, it has been confirmed that reaching organization goals and getting projects done can be easily achieved away from the office! All you need is to be connected and have access to the tools you need.
As we’ve all known, remote working is not a new phenomenon. However, it was luxurious before Corona-virus. According to statistics, the number of people who work from home has increased by 140% since 2005.
Here are 5 effective tips for working remotely:
1- Create a list
We’ve always loved the feeling of checking off tasks on our list. Stay motivated by writing down all the tasks that needs to be done today and check each one off once you’re done!
Make sure you set your priorities and have everything scheduled & listed.
2- Dedicate a Workspace
Make sure you dedicate a place at home ( or wherever you’re working remotely from) where you can be comfortable and completely undisturbed, that way you can be more productive.
Also, if you’re working from home, setting ground rules with your family / roommates is very important to avoid any distraction.
3- Have a break!
Scheduling breaks is very important when you’re working from home just as it is important when you’re working from the office, because taking a break will help you stay focused and be more productive.
4- Avoid Distractions
Working from home can sometimes be very distracting. Being around your family, receiving calls & sending texts all the time and sometimes having people over!
it’s very important to make sure you’re creating a work atmosphere and to avoid any personal calls/texts in your work times.
5- Engage with your colleagues
Being forced to work alone from home doesn’t mean that you can’t interact with your colleagues! Thanks to face time – Zoom and many other applications you can now interact with your teammates on a daily basis. Make sure you always stay connected!
