Meet the Community : Stuart Edeal

Agile Cloud Consulting was started by Salesforce MVP Sharif Shaalan with a vision of bringing together tailor fit teams for each individual project to ensure success. After years of helping organizations bring together people, process, and technology it was obvious that “people” is the glue that holds things together. This series gives you a closer look at some of the superstars of the Trailblazer Community!

Wanna know some fun facts about a Trailblazer Community member?

Stuart Edeal answers our 10 fun questions :

1.       What skill do you think everyone should have?

I get this question often as an advisor for my local school district’s Continuing and Technical Education council.  The career pathways that we work on help students know what choices they have in the world.  The skills we talk about with the students include Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Ethics, Integrity, Teamwork, Communication, Leadership, Creativity, and Innovation.   The two skills I hope people can take with them in whatever their journey takes are Curiosity and a desire to provide Benefit to others.

2.       How would you spend a million dollars?

I would save, donate and invest a portion of this, and then with the rest I would most likely use on travel to visit the places and people I miss so much since we have been in lock down for 12+ months.   I used to travel often and I have been grounded.  I am looking forward to spending time and energy on my friends and family far away.

3.       If you could bring back any fashion trend what would it be?

I thought Parker Harris as “Lightning Man” for Dreamforce 2015 was quite the fashion statement.   Maybe that character could come back again someday.

4.       What is your most used emoji?

I must say, I never got into emojis, but I am a fan of gifs, and I still enjoy seeing a good gifWar on twitter between my peers.  I don’t know if I have a most used, but It may be  Ron Swanson on Parks and Rec saying “I’m really proud of you.”   I like using that one when I see so many people accomplishing wonderful goals in their Salesforce career.

5.       Coffee or tea?

Coffee….. how can I get all of those Trailhead badges and Salesforce Certs without the use of lots and lots of Coffee….

6.       If you could go back in time to any era, which would it be?

Let’s see.  If I could go back in time, just to visit and interact… maybe it should be for the week of March 8, 1999, near 1449 Montgomery Street, San Francisco, CA, USA.    Yes, that would be my choice of time and place to go back in time.  Spend a week to visit and mingle and then return.  Could be fun.

7.       What is your favorite video game?

Do you know how many hours and quarters I spent as a child on Joust!  That game was so addictive.  The sounds, the challenge of trying to get through different waves..
Fast forward, I really enjoy introducing my child to games like Rock Band, Burnout, and anything Lego.

8.       What’s the 1 dish you absolutely, positively will never, ever eat?

“Processed Cheese” – I have no desire to consume American Cheese and ask for it to be removed when it is offered.   It is not a real food, and kind of disgusts me.   If you are going to put cheese on a food, use good, real aged cheese that has a flavor.  Don’t slap a processed slice of chemical on it…. (do I have an opinion? yes I do)

9.       What was your all-time, best-ever Halloween costume?

I was a very cute frog one year as a young child.

10.   Are you handy at fixing things?

I like to think so.   I remodeled the basement in our old house and I have built a vegetable garden.  I like to take things apart and see how they work.  I am sometimes surprised when I put them back together and all of the pieces and parts fit where they are supposed to.
I can also fix a broken Salesforce process builder, Flow, and formula.   These are fun things for me to fix.  I enjoy when I get to dive into the details of a difficult Salesforce automation error.
