Agile Cloud Consulting was started by Salesforce MVP Sharif Shaalan with a vision of bringing together tailor fit teams for each individual project to ensure success. After years of helping organizations bring together people, process, and technology it was obvious that “people” is the glue that holds things together. This series gives you a closer look at some of the superstars of the Trailblazer Community!
Wanna know some fun facts about a Trailblazer Community member?
Melissa Hill Dees answers our 10 fun questions :
1. Who was the most influential person in your life?
Personally, Mary Love Eyster taught me so much; helping with her blog and book, Love Notes, influenced me in ways that I am still realizing. Professionally, Frans Johansson and his book, The Medici Effect, are what made me realize that innovation needed to be my focus.
2. Do you enjoy exercise, yoga or meditation?
I hate to exercise. And, I’m too hyper for meditation. Yoga engages my mind and my body and I really enjoy it.
3. What was the last thing you heard or saw which made you laugh out loud?
My 18 year old daughter wrestling with our Belgian shepherd
4. What was the longest trip you ever took?
That could be a very existential question. My personal journey has spanned decades and I don’t think I’ve arrived yet. I’ve never been more than about 5,000 miles from home but I want to go much farther. I’ve never traveled for longer than a month.
5. You only have 3 words to describe yourself – What are they?
My personal V2MOM vision statement is: “Be the leader in innovation, impact, and inclusion to #domoregood.” So three words might be: innovative, impactful, inclusive
6. Would you rather have a home on the beach or in the mountain?
Yes! Or do you want me to decide? If you’ve met me, you realize a tan is never going to happen so the mountains are usually my first choice. But if the beach is on the Wild Atlantic Way, that’s another story.
7. What’s the last concert you went to?
Fleetwood Mac at Dreamforce 19!
8. What is your favorite item of clothing ?
My Trailblazer hoodie, of course. It goes with everything.
9. If you had the world’s attention for 30 seconds, what would you say?
#domoregood Every time something bad happens in the world, be more determined to create good. Often there is absolutely nothing you can do about the bad, but every one can do more good. It doesn’t even have to be big good; a small kindness can create a giant ripple. And, when everyone does a little, a LOT gets done.
10. Where do you not mind waiting?
I don’t mind waiting as long as I can entertain myself while I wait, e.g. read a book, people watch, catch up on a video, do a quick trailhead module, and waiting doesn’t make me late.
