University Hospital Foundation needed a more robust and user-friendly Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) so they could implement a major gift program, better serve their donors, and position themselves to integrate their core system with other solutions when needed. Raiser’s Edge NXT wasn’t fully meeting their needs: they understood that Salesforce is a far more flexible solution that would enable them to better organize how they work and increase their impact. The University Hospital Foundation team used Salesforce very effectively at a former organization and knew firsthand the power of having a solution that they could customize to track and report on information quickly and in real-time.
Agile Cloud Consulting (ACC) leveraged its turnkey Raiser’s Edge to Salesforce (Nonprofit Success Pack) data migration process to help ease the data migration for University Hospital Foundation. In addition to configuring Salesforce, ACC configured an integration with Outlook as well as integrating ConstantContact for their marketing needs and Classy to support their fundraising efforts. The goal wasn’t to simply replace Raiser’s Edge, but rather to provide University Hospital Foundation more functionality, increase their reporting capabilities, and create a foundation for implementing additional features in the future.
University Hospital Foundation has successfully adopted Salesforce and can now see a 360-degree view of their customers’ and partners’ engagement levels, giving histories, potential revenue opportunities, and general constituent information in a system with a clean, modern interface and powerful self-service reporting.

University Hospital Foundation (Newark, NJ) was formed in 2015 to accelerate University Hospital’s vision to improve the health of our vulnerable community for generations to come. The Foundation raises funds for University Hospital to, among other things, provide free cancer screenings, emergency clothing, educational programs for Moms and babies, fight food insecurity and capital improvements.
