The #Agilists Take Dreamforce 2024

#DF24 Announcements

At Dreamforce 2024, there was a wealth of innovative announcements, especially centered around AI and its integration across various Salesforce products. One of the highlights was the unveiling of Agentforce, Salesforce’s AI-driven platform that allows businesses to build and deploy autonomous agents for customer service, marketing, and sales. These agents, powered by large language models, can perform tasks like qualifying leads, answering queries, and optimizing campaigns, drastically improving operational efficiency.

There were significant updates to Slack, with AI deeply embedded to boost productivity. The integration of Agentforce within Slack enables teams to work alongside AI agents in real-time, streamlining workflows, enhancing collaboration, and saving time. Teams can now leverage AI in Slack to summarize conversations, manage tasks, and make decisions faster.

In addition, Salesforce expanded its Data Cloud and Industry AI offerings, introducing more than 100 out-of-the-box AI capabilities for various industries, from consumer goods to education. This aligns with Salesforce’s broader vision of creating a seamless AI-powered ecosystem across CRM and other business functions.

Dreamforce also spotlighted Salesforce’s commitment to education and philanthropy, including $23 million in grants to support AI and STEM education initiatives globally. This reflects Salesforce’s ongoing focus on leveraging technology to drive social good.

Specifically, the Dreamforce 2024 Nonprofit keynote, titled “Nonprofit: Amplify Your Work and Mission with AI“, focused on how nonprofits can leverage AI and data strategies to optimize their work. Lori Freeman and Norah Kittner discussed current and future AI tools, how to use them for stakeholder engagement, and personalized experiences.

#Agilists at Dreamforce

Agile Cloud Consulting sent a great team of #Agilists to Dreamforce this year. And, we had quite the schedule of participation! All the places we were and met folks included:

The DF24 Newbie Reunion Breakfast, led by MVP Hall of Fame Eric Dreshfield, was a great way to start the first day. The annual breakfast features bacon and this year funds were raised to benefit Project Night Night. And, if you were not quite such an early riser, the Salesforce Nonprofit breakfast was equally delicious and a great place to reconnect.

To finish up Day 1, Salesforce for Nonprofits hosted a wonderful evening reception at Merkado. So many friends, customers, and partners in one place! Conversations were long and loud.

The highlights of Day 2 included the Grantmaker’s Network Hour at the W Hotel with drinks and snacks. 1:1 conversations sprang up everywhere.

From business to pleasure, the annual Dreamfest to raise funds for the USFC Benioff Children’s Hospital featured P!NK with Imagine Dragons as the opener. #Agilists attended and Sharif and Melissa were invited to watch from the Club Level with Charlie Isaacs. And this was just the prelude to the annual Engagement Party, benefitting Amplify.

Day 3 was a particularly exciting day for the team. After the Grantmaking Gathering hosted by Salesforce, everyone was invited to the Brunch co-hosted by Agile Cloud Consulting, ImagineCRM, and Candid. More than thirty foundations were represented along with Salesforce folks that work specifically with grants management tools. The food was lovely and the conversations were even better. The brunch was lauded by all as a huge success.

To wrap up the entire week, the annual Cigar Shindig! hosted close to 1,000 Dreamforce attendees with beverages and cigars. Agile Cloud Consulting was a platinum sponsor and supplied four original paintings by Al-Tariq Graves as raffle prizes. CEO Sharif Shaalan and the team were welcoming and engaged with attendees from Salesforce, partners, customers, MVPs, and the MVP Hall of Fame founder of the event, Michael Farrington.  “A good time was had by all.”
